Site of the nation's oldest cattle ranch. Major portion now owned by Suffolk County. Across road is privately owned section with separate stables. Same operator runs both stables, call for information on both. 50 horses, trail and pony rides only; trail rides on beach and through 4,000 acres in Theodore Roosevelt County Park; sunset beach rides, wagon tours, petting farm, barbecue dinner theater. Trail rides $50 for 90 minutes; private rides available; reservations recommended.

A major lure at this 1,755-acre park is camping along a beautiful stretch of the Atlantic. Nature trails and a freshwater fishing pond also are featured. off Montauk Highway (Route 27), 4 miles west of Montauk.

Entrance $7 per car daily May 26-Sept. 9. Free thereafter.
