Hog Creek is located on the northern tip of the East
Hampton/Springs peninsula. Hog creek is a beautiful
place to explore but does not offer anything for the
cruising boater. The creek does not give
access to restaurants, provisions, anchorages or any
marine services. If you are looking for a safe
harbor to spend the night, please see Three
Mile Harbor.
There are two small marinas inside the creek,
both which are private. These small marinas
are available only to local residents and do not
accept any transients. During our visit inside
the creek it appeared these private marinas and it's
residents did not like our presence there. While we
were not greeted with open arms by the locals, it
was quite a beautiful spot to visit.
While entering the creek there is a ample amount
of water. Once inside the creek make sure to
make a quick right or left, because there a sandbar
straight ahead.
If you have a smaller boat (15'-22') and like to
explore make sure to take a look at Hog Creek.
