Three Mile Harbor Cruising Guide:
Things To Do

There are lots of great things to do while visiting Three Mile Harbor.  Here are a few ideas:

Hands Creek  Hands Creek is located along the western shoreline near the anchorage.  The creek is very shallow and easily accessible by dinghy.  The scenic creek is the home of an ospreys nest and several lovely homes.  Great for kayaks!
Marsh Area and Creeks Near Entrance.  After entering Three Mile Harbor there is a creek on the north-east side of the harbor.  This marsh area is quite beautiful and home to beautiful wildlife including several ospreys.  The marsh area is deep in and even leads to two private marinas.  If you have a good dinghy and like to explore this area provides hours of exploring and fun for the whole family.

East Hampton Point Marina has tennis courts available for marina guest.  The courts may also be available to visiting boaters to Three Mile Harbor, but you will need to contact them in advance.  For more information call The East Hampton Point Marina at (631) 324-4838.  For more about the East Hampton Point Marina see Marinas.

Shopping and Village...

East Hampton Village is a little over two miles from the Town Docks at the southern end of the harbor.  You can leave your dinghy at the town dock while you visit the town.  You can view the location of dinghy docks by clicking here.  In the village you will find restaurants, charming shops, a movie theatre and many more things to do. See our East Hampton General Guide for more information.

Water Skiing...

Inside Three Mile Harbor there is a designated ski area for water skiing and other motor water sports.  The area is quite large and well marker to the west of the anchorage area.  Remember Jet Skis are prohibited inside Three Mile Harbor.
