Stirling Harbor is located just east of the
village docks and at the base of the Greenport's
Jetti (inside Young's Point). The Harbor
offers an alternative to staying in Greenport
Village giving you protection from the wind
and boat traffic. While staying inside
Stirling Harbor you can walk to the village
within a few short minutes.
There is ample water while entering and
inside the harbor. This harbor is also the
home of several large vessels. The
entrance to Stirling Harbor is also the home of
a memorial to those lost at sea. At the entrance
to the harbor there is also a sign
posting mooring information and harbor
master contact information.
Once inside the harbor you will see there is
access to three marinas.
The western shoreline is the home of several
other local marinas and fishing boats.
Many of the smaller marinas along the western
shore offer seasonal slips, but do not accept
transients on a regular basis. Along the
east shoreline are Stirling Harbors largest
Marinas. And the northern shore line is
the home of Eastern Long Island Hospital. While
there is no dock access to the hospital for
emergencies, there is a plan underway to get a
dock for the hospital for emergencies that occur
on the water.
