When we were nesting and our child was young,
we sailed the Osprey’s Nest. Our logo was
an osprey with wings spread carrying a stick to
build his nest. We traveled extensively with our
boat, but always returned home to our nest in
Shelter Island. Our boat was always a safe haven
filled with children and friends. As our son
became an adult and we planned for retirement, our
new boat was named the Osprey’s Rest. The
logo of two ospreys sitting peacefully with one’s
wing warmly sheltering the other reflects our
desire to settle down and enjoy life. Or son’s
first boat was Cool Change. A baby osprey
emerging from its broken shell was the logo
painted on the side of the boat. He and his wife
now sail the Rubber Ducky- reflecting their
uniqueness and ability to establish their own
life.
The newest vessel in our collection, a joint
venture between father and son, is the OspreysGuide.com,
an 18 foot Rosborough. The resting ospreys were
incorporated into the logo for this venture. It is
our desire to protect and guide the visiting
boater, or land traveler though our domain. When
you visit our website, please take the time to
comment or share additional information with us.
If you see us on the water, don’t hesitate to
say HELLO!
